Is a fuel card worth it if I only run one truck?

For a lot of owner-operators, yes. It keeps business diesel separate, gets you diesel discounts at the pump and keeps your IFTA records in one place.

Do I need good credit to get a fuel card?

It depends on the card. Credit-based cards usually check your credit. Prepaid cards work with money you load ahead of time. Applying for the Octane card comes with no hard credit check.

Does a fuel card help with IFTA?

Yes. Every purchase is saved with the date, station, state and gallons, which is the information you need for your quarterly IFTA return.

Can each driver have their own fuel card?

Most fleet fuel card programs let you give a card to each driver or truck, so every fill-up lands on the right record. With Octane, you add drivers and issue their cards right from the app.
